About UsIn 1997, a small group of solid surface fabricators formed the International Solid Surface Fabricators Association. The Association’s main emphasis was on education, promotion, improving industry standards, cooperation with suppliers and manufacturers, sharing experiences and uniting for the common benefit of the industry. These ambitions are still the cornerstone of the association today. In 2008, the board of directors voted to change the organization’s name to the International Surface Fabricator’s Association (ISFA) to fully embrace the wide range of materials available on the market, not just solid surface. Today, ISFA is globally recognized as a premier trade organization serving the decorative surface industry. ISFA exists to help fabricators and other industry professionals improve safety measures, increase product quality, encourage professionalism and elevate profitability by facilitating education, standards and camaraderie. ISFA values innovation, dependability, trust, honesty, ethics, and serving others above all else. Under the advisement of the association's board of directors and planning committees, the ISFA team aims to provide meaningful networking, mentoring and learning opportunities through in-person and virtual events and webinars, including: MONTHLY VIRTUAL EVENTSFABRICATOR FORUM EVENTSSOLID SURFACE FABRICATION TRAININGPORCELAIN FABRICATION TRAININGISFA ANNUAL CONFERENCEThese events are carefully curated to meet the needs of today's surface fabricators and countertop professionals. They are held as a means to continue to educate members about material standards, fabrication techniques, shop safety including OSHA requirements and silica risk mitigation, new material and tooling announcements, and more. ISFA's Behind the Surface podcast features business and management strategies, advancements in technology and tooling as well as other relevant topics. With each episode, Behind the Surface inspires fabricators to take their business to the next level by addressing challenges, sharing strategies and gathering insights from leading industry experts.
